PHIL 341 Critical Reasoning
(formerly HUM 341) Differentiates and analyzes the understanding, recognition, and construction of critical thinking. Emphasis on critical thinking and perception, cognitive development, decision making, emotional intelligence, deductive and inductive reasoning, formal logic, and informal logic. Designed to improve critical thinking in written and spoken arguments by applying established modes of reasoning, analyzing rhetorical strategies, evaluating logical fallacies, and detecting propaganda techniques.
