BSNR 405C Community & Public Health Nursing II
This course is the second of two required courses.In this course, students explore health teaching concepts and identify strategies to influence population-based healthcare needs for individuals, families, and communities. Students identify surveillance and epidemiological principles impacting chronic and infectious diseases within a community. Students complete a community health nursing practicum with an approved site and preceptor. This course meets the California Board of Registered Nurses (BRN) Public Health certificate requirements.
