CMHC 655 Human Sexuality
The course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to develop self and other awareness, along with the knowledge and skills across a broad range of issues related to addressing human sexuality in counseling relationships. These issues may include intimate partner violence, infertility, and gender expression/roles. Students will personally develop increased competence and comfort in exploring topics of sexuality when working with a diverse range of clients on topics that include the expression of human sexuality and intimacy across the lifespan, attitudes about sexuality, common issues associated with sexual functioning, and therapeutic interventions. Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include online, blended, and face to face modalities.
