OCC 738E Hand Therapy Elective

This course focuses on the specialty occupational therapy practice area that is hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. Students will demonstrate advanced knowledge, clinical reasoning, and practice skills necessary to develop and implement an evidence-based plan-of-care to improve occupational performance in occupations. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the Biomechanical Frame of Reference (FOR) as it applies to evaluation, assessment and intervention of common upper extremity and hand pathologies.
