OCC 645 Leadership and Advancement in OT Practice

Critical analysis of trends, practice issues and leadership strategies in occupational therapy practice. Students gain an understanding of how to carry out the role of an occupational therapy manager, start and run a private practice or business, follow professional regulations and policy, utilize evidence, acquire grant funding, and become future leaders. The students will demonstrate ability to provide principles of management, current health care policy and federal/state regulations, and reimbursement systems. Course delivery methods include online synchronous instruction.
