PHAR 600E Longitudinal Skills Lab V

Longitudinal Skills Lab V is the penultimate practicum in the series of courses designed to allow students opportunities to practice and demonstrate essential skills in a sequential and integrated way.  Longitudinal Skills Lab V works in alignment with the two IPC courses this semester - IPC VI and IPC VII - to reinforce students' knowledge, skills, and attitudes through the use of active learning strategies.  Assessments in this course include student presentations of patient cases, pharmacokinetic and pain calculations, journal clubs, SOAP notes, and medication counseling workshops.  The specific intent of this Longitudinal Skills Lab is for the student to improve and enhance their clinical skills in readiness for their advanced experiential courses (APPE), and improve their communication techniques utilizing health literacy to professional and lay audiences.
